Hamer Packaging Technology is one of the world's leading manufacturers of automatic thermoforming machines for the packging industry. The company has been designing, developing and producing the latest automatic thermoforming systems for over 30 years now and has established well-known standards in terms of quality and reliability.

One of the hamer highlights for the FAKUMA will be the new 2008 version thermoformer FV76 series which are equipped with revised servo-drive technology and increased cycle rate, up to 40 cycles per minute.

With a new forming area of 700 mm in width and 600 mm in step, the FV76 unifies tool system make easy the compatibility with existing tooling, even from third parties. In addition, down times, are minimized due to the quick tool change system developed, with a new tool installation bridge at the forming station and pneumatic operated clamping devices.

The lastest, but not the least, is the billow snap-back forming capabilities, recommended for any parts requiring a uniform, controllable wall thickness. In short, this forming system allows pre-stretching of the plastic sheet by means of a controlled air pressure applied under the sheet to form. Then the mould is forced into the bubble while the air presure beneath the sheet remains constant. As the plug mould closes, vacuum applied from behind the mould creates a uniform drawn.
